GPS Synchroniser

Record event times with microsecond precision

Used in production to measure the start time of seismic source controllers to give a precise time stamp for start of records using GPS timing. The time resolution of GPS Synchroniser is 1 μs and the accuracy is typically ±5 μs.

Some of the key points of the GPS Synchroniser are:

  • Memory to hold over 4000 records in non-volatile memory
  • Constant monitoring or quick checks
  • Autonomous operation
  • Rugged construction
  • Can be triggered every 2 seconds

The units can either be used on their own to derive an absolute independent event time or multiple units can be used to compare timing of different remote events.

The GPS Synchroniser operates from 12 volts and comes complete with its own GPS antenna with 5 metre cable for completely independent checks of timing systems. Alternatively the GPS signal can be supplied by a suitable third party GPS antenna.

An optional kit includes a mains power supply and a cable fitted with an N type plug to connect to an external GPS source such as a splitter.
