Sandwich Box Mk3 Software Changes

Customers with the Mk3 version of the Sandwich Box can download this software and any updates for free. The latest version of software can be obtained from the download area.

Version 305 to 306

Functionality

  • Software upgrade to support serial numbers 544 and upwards
  • This software supports all versions from 501 upwards

Version 304 to 305

Functionality

  • Include Automatic mode for Low Frequency Sweep processing
  • Extrapolate Frequency plot to start and end of sweep

Bug Fixes

  • Fix scaling of Pelton acceleration and force channels
  • Correctly annotate amplitude plots when using vib controller force/acceleration signals
  • Save value of Autosave setting
  • Properly implement Save and Process functionality in Save module

Cosmetic

  • Hard wire fonts of front panel controls to Arial
  • Change colour of channel 4 from dark blue to light blue to aid visibility

Version 303 to 304

Functionality

  • Save data – data saved in .vfi format saves first 31 characters of user comment
  • Installation – new driver supplied and installed along with Sandwich Box software
  • Processing – if sweep amplitude is less than 4 % of the average value, assume the vibrator isn’t sweeping and don’t process
  • General – all windows can be repositioned and rescaled
  • Check sweep – improve successive approximation algorithm when using asynchronous data
  • Parameters – release version 1 header to support increased resolution of sweep parameters
  • Save SEG-Y – sweep parameters recorded in textual header of SEG-Y file in ASCII format

Bug Fixes

  • Select channels – changing channel names now takes effect immediately
  • Self test – position of Save Data switch now saved
  • Pre trigger delay – incorrect scaling was causing problems at then of pre-trigger window
  • Check sweep – ignore setting of pre trigger delay when processing test
  • Down sweep – improve detection of down sweeps to reduce false positives

Cosmetic

  • Self test – rescale accelerometer voltage plot so that channels 1 doesn’t go off top of graph
  • Header viewer – do not display trigger channel if Digital or Manual trigger was used
  • Self Test – table background colour does not carry over from previous test results
  • Trace display – plot time limited to processing length
  • Multi plot – fix position of cursors
  • Multi plot – show correlation wavelet centred on 0 irrespective of sweep length

Version 302 to 303

Changes

  • SEG Header – Re-executing allows selection of a different file
  • Add item on taskbar when Parameters Module is open
  • plot down sweep phase and amplitude spectrum plots on a reverse frequency axis (i.e. High to Low frequency)
  • Interpolation of statistics for low sweep rates improved
  • Force output weighting on front panel Force connector corrected
  • Enable editing of channel names in Edit Header module
  • Add trigger details to Header dump
  • Automatically remove time error for asynchronous triggering when using Check Sweep module
  • Check Reference Sweep can do down sweeps
  • Correct mass force amplitude scaling on Close Up plot
  • Remove html option when printing to graphics file
  • Omit tapers from data prior to processing Clock test
  • Change folder in Parameters module no longer reverts to original selection when changing tab before exiting module
  • Initialisation allows user to accept first SW Box or scan again for another device
  • Error box on Channel Select page is hidden if there are no errors
  • State of self test Save/Don’t Save control saved correctly
  • Accelerometer test amplitude deviation changed to RMS and window length adjusted
  • Accelerometer test – axes for Phase and Amplitude deviation labelled
  • Channel type is now correctly read by Recalculate Force module for Sercel DSDs
